RAILROAD TRACK SWITCH #1- Here is Otto's First US Patent and the incredible significance of it is that before this invention, the engineer would have to stop the train to get out and pull a lever to switch the tracks. This patent switches them from the moving train, a very important breakthrough! What else Otto had to do with the railroad and the level of success he had with this patent if any, is yet unknown.
